The company is now announcing an excellent career opportunity for the position of Account Manager, specializing in the Local Shops segment, based in Manama.
Job Description
The new Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of local shop partners on the Talabat platform. The core objective is to enhance these shops' presence on the app, increase their sales, and ensure their complete satisfaction with the service. This role will be the primary link between Talabat and the vibrant local business community in Bahrain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Build strong, sustainable working relationships with existing and new local shop owners.
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase order volumes and revenue for the assigned shops in your portfolio.
- Support & Training: Provide technical and commercial support to partner shops, training them to effectively use Talabat's tools and platforms to optimize their performance.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze shop performance (order rates, ratings, feedback) and provide reports and improvement recommendations.
- Problem Solving: Act as the first point of contact to resolve any issues faced by partner shops promptly and effectively.
- Expansion: Contribute to expansion strategies by onboarding new local shops to join the Talabat platform.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal marketing, operations, and technology teams at Talabat to enhance the overall service.
Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the retail, delivery, or e-commerce sector.
- Deep understanding of the Bahrain market and local business environment, especially the SME and retail shop landscape.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Proactive personality, capable of working independently and in a team, with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience working with delivery or e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles.
- An existing professional network within Bahrain's retail or F&B sector.
