Job Overview
The Art Director will play a pivotal role in leading the creative and visual vision for projects. This individual will be responsible for translating strategic concepts into cohesive and powerful visual identities and overseeing the production of design materials across multiple mediums. The role operates within a multi-disciplinary environment, requiring close collaboration with design teams, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure the highest standards of quality and innovation are met.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and develop the artistic and creative vision for projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Manage a team of designers and artists, providing direction, mentorship, and quality control over their work.
- Develop and maintain the visual identity for projects, including design systems and brand guidelines.
- Oversee the creation of a wide range of design materials, which may include presentations, illustrations, marketing collateral, 3D visualizations, and UI/UX design for digital project components.
- Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to seamlessly integrate design elements into overall project plans.
- Ensure all visual outputs are consistent with project goals, client brand standards, and Parsons' corporate standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in design and visual arts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience of 7-10 years in design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Art Director, Senior Design Manager).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating diverse experience in large-scale projects and the ability to lead creative vision.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Deep understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual composition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Strong ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural, international team environment is a significant advantage.
