Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Supporting the periodic account closing process (monthly and year-end close) and reviewing expenses and revenues.

- Working to improve and streamline internal accounting and financial policies and procedures.
- Supervising aspects of the accounting team's work and providing guidance and technical support.

- Preparing financial analyses and management reports to support decision-making.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a significant advantage and often a key requirement.
- Work Experience: Proven experience of at least 5 to 7 years in accounting or financial auditing, with a substantial portion in an Assistant Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or equivalent role. Experience in a corporate environment or a specific sector (e.g., real estate, construction, services) is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting practices in the UAE.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and investigative skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English (verbal and written). Team spirit with the ability to lead and mentor.
