ProgressSoft, a leading provider of advanced software and financial solutions, is seeking to hire a Business Development Manager for its office in the Sultanate of Oman. Job Overview

The Business Development Manager will be the primary leader responsible for driving expansion efforts and increasing market share for ProgressSoft in the Omani market and surrounding region. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle for the company's specialized technical services and solutions, and building robust, long-term relationships with clients in both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies to achieve financial and organizational targets.
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new business opportunities, building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, with a focus on specialized software solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with existing and potential clients, including financial institutions and government entities.
  • Prepare professional and compelling proposals and tenders that address specific client needs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Work closely with internal marketing and technical teams to ensure customer expectations are met and appropriate solutions are delivered.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts for senior management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in business development or sales within the technology or software sector, with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Practical experience in the Omani or Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market, with a deep understanding of the local business environment and culture.
  • Strong knowledge of software solutions, particularly those geared towards the financial (FinTech) or enterprise sectors.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all management levels.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team spirit.
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
