Job Description

Segula Technologies, a global leader in engineering consulting, is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer specialized in Thermal Power Plants to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Civil Engineer will work within a specialized team focused on the design and development of thermal power plant projects, with an emphasis on civil and structural aspects. Key responsibilities include overseeing structural designs, managing construction operations, and ensuring compliance with local and international engineering and environmental standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and construction of thermal power plants.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and local UAE standards.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop civil and structural designs for thermal power plant projects.
• Conduct geotechnical studies and soil analysis for proposed sites.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams (mechanical, electrical) to ensure design integration.
• Review contractor contracts and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
