Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will occupy a pivotal role that blends technical consultancy with hands-on development. The core responsibilities include:

  • Development & Customization: Designing, developing, and customizing solutions within the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations environment using X++ and related development tools (Visual Studio). This involves creating new data entities, workflows, reports, and integrations.
  • Analysis & Consultation: Collaborating with business users and stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications. Providing expert advice on best practices for D365 F&O configuration and implementation.
  • Integration & Interfaces: Developing and maintaining integration interfaces between the D365 F&O system and other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, third-party systems, web portals) using technologies like Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Data Entities.
  • Project Support: Participating in the full project lifecycle, from the design and implementation phases through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Ensuring solutions are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to customizations, integrations, and system performance. Implementing ongoing upgrades and enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Documentation: Preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including system design, source code, and user guides to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

Essential Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Practical Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 3 to 5 years in developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (or its predecessor, AX 2012). Experience with full-cycle implementation projects is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in the X++ programming language and the D365 data model framework.
    • Practical experience with development tools like Visual Studio and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
    • Deep understanding of the architecture and configuration of core F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory).
    • Experience in designing and implementing integration interfaces using Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions) or other integration tools.
    • Good understanding of SQL databases and query-writing capabilities.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with teams and clients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent.
