Falcon Line Logistics is actively recruiting for a Fleet Resource & Transport Coordinator to be based in its operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational coordination and oversight of the company's vehicle fleet and transport resources. In a dynamic work environment, the core responsibilities will include:
- Resource Planning & Allocation: Efficiently planning and allocating vehicles and drivers to ensure transportation and delivery operations are executed according to schedule and with optimal operational efficiency.
- Operational Coordination: Directly coordinating with fleet drivers, logistics operations teams, and distribution centers to ensure a seamless flow of information and goods.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring fleet performance using tracking systems (if available) and following key performance indicators such as delivery times, utilization rates, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Documentation Management: Ensuring all transport-related documentation, including shipping orders, delivery proofs, and driver logs, is complete, accurate, and compliant with local regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Effectively handling any unforeseen operational complexities or delays, such as weather conditions, vehicle breakdowns, or order changes, and providing swift solutions to ensure service continuity.
- Communication: Acting as a central liaison between operations management and ground fleet resources, providing regular updates on operational status and any challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. Significant and proven practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience in a similar role within the logistics, transportation, or fleet management sector.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel). Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Transport Management Systems (TMS) will be a significant advantage.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and planning abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems proactively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data follow-up.
- General Requirements: Applicants must possess a valid residency permit (Iqama) for Saudi Arabia (for expatriate applicants).
