Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful Forklift Operator will be responsible for a range of crucial operational tasks within the company's facilities. Key duties include:

• Safely and efficiently operating large forklifts (10 tons and above) to handle steel materials and heavy industrial products.
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers carrying raw materials and finished goods.
• Transporting materials and goods within warehouses, storage yards, and production facilities as per specified instructions and procedures.
• Ensuring the safe and correct stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage or accidents.
• Performing daily visual pre-operation inspections of the forklift and reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the forklift and the surrounding work area.
• Strictly adhering to all company and UAE-mandated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols and regulations.
• Collaborating with other team members such as warehouse laborers, equipment operators, and drivers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Other duties may include assisting with inventory counts and performing general warehouse tasks as required.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Valid Certification/License: Must possess a valid and certified forklift operator license from a recognized authority, with proven competency in operating large-capacity forklifts (10 tons and above class).
• Practical Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience operating large forklifts in an industrial, steel, or heavy logistics warehouse environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of basic forklift mechanics and the ability to perform simple fault detection.
• Safety Commitment: A strong track record of safety compliance, with a deep understanding of heavy load handling procedures.
• Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to work in shifts and in an environment that may involve heat and relative noise common in industrial settings.
• Personal Skills: High reliability, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions precisely, and good communication skills.
• Residency Status: Must be a resident of the United Arab Emirates holding a transferable work visa (for current visa holders).
