A Confidential Company in Qatar is seeking a highly experienced Group Finance Director to join their headquarters in Doha. This is an exceptional opportunity for finance leaders with strategic vision and proven expertise in managing the financial affairs of large corporate groups.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the group's financial strategy, overseeing all financial and accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations. The role requires close interaction with senior management and the board of directors to provide financial reports and strategic analyses that support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the group's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Manage cash flows and optimize capital structure.
- Lead the finance and accounting team to ensure accuracy of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations in Qatar.
- Provide financial advice to senior management on mergers, acquisitions, and expansion projects.
- Develop internal control systems and financial risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a similar managerial role.
- Previous experience working within a group of companies or multinational corporations.
- Strong proficiency in ERP financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage multicultural teams.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).
