Job Overview

The Head of Section will hold a high-level supervisory position, responsible for the complete oversight of all activities related to internal auditing, accounting, and financial affairs. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Leadership & Supervision: Lead and develop the Auditing, Accounting, and Financial Affairs team, delegate tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure a motivating work environment.
• Comprehensive Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and completeness in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and any applicable local regulations.
• Internal Audit & Control: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit plan to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and operational processes. Provide recommendations for process improvements and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. A postgraduate degree (Master's) or global professional certifications are a strong advantage.
• Professional Certifications: A globally recognized professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly desired or strongly preferred.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in the financial and accounting field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Finance Manager, Head of Accounting & Auditing). Experience in the UAE or GCC market is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle. Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency in tools like advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Soft Skills: Team leadership and inspiration, excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English, ability to analyze complex problems and make decisions, high integrity and reliability.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UAE tax and corporate laws, and best practices in internal control and auditing.
