Job Overview
The Head of Installation (CSR) will be primarily responsible for the overall leadership of the installation team. The core objective is to ensure all on-site installation operations are executed precisely, on schedule, and in full compliance with stringent quality and safety standards. Given the leadership nature of the role, coordination with other departments such as Sales, Procurement, Engineering, and the company's clients will be crucial for ensuring operational smoothness.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Leadership & Planning: Lead and direct the entire installation team, including supervisors and technicians. Develop detailed work plans and schedules for all installation projects, allocating human and material resources efficiently.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Directly oversee the quality of all installation work, ensuring full compliance with local and international safety protocols, and Qatari building regulations. Conduct regular audit and inspection processes.
- Customer Service Relationship (CSR) Management: Act as the primary liaison with clients regarding installation phases. Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and proactively addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Financial Management & Procurement: Contribute to departmental budgeting and cost monitoring to ensure execution within the allocated budget. Coordinate with the Procurement department to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and equipment.
- Development & Training: Evaluate the performance of the installation team and identify training needs. Foster team members' skills and promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional competence.
- Problem-Solving & Reporting: Address any challenges or complexities arising during installation operations and find swift, effective solutions. Prepare detailed periodic reports on project progress, risks, and performance for senior management.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related technical field). Advanced degrees or project management certifications (e.g., PMP) would be a strong additional advantage.
- Work Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in managing installation or maintenance operations in an industrial or construction environment, with a clear progression of leadership responsibility. Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC region is a significant advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams, with exceptional communication and delegation skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of technical installation processes, engineering drawing interpretation, and quality/safety standards (e.g., ISO, OHSAS).
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage expectations and build long-term working relationships.
- Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an important additional advantage.
