Job Description
As an HSE Engineer at the Shuaiba project site, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. You will implement safety policies, conduct inspections, and promote a strong safety culture across the construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare root cause analysis reports
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to workers
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001, and local Kuwaiti regulations
- Participate in risk assessments and job safety analysis (JSA)
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors on safety matters
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Safety, Civil, Mechanical, or related field)
- Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification (mandatory)
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of HSE experience in construction projects (preferably marine or infrastructure)
- Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of safety management systems, hazard identification, and incident investigation
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure
