Job Description
The client is seeking an experienced and professional Instrument Planner to join their maintenance and planning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities related to instrumentation, measurement devices, and control systems in oil and gas facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of SCADA, PLC systems, and various sensors, along with the ability to analyze maintenance data and create effective schedules to ensure operational continuity with the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update preventive and corrective maintenance plans for instrumentation systems.
- Prepare work orders, specifying required materials, tools, and skill sets for each task.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of planned work.
- Review failure reports and conduct root cause analysis to implement permanent solutions.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and necessary tools before maintenance activities commence.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and apply them throughout the planning process.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP or Maximo for recording and tracking work.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance planning within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in planning software like Primavera or MS Project, and strong knowledge of CMMS systems.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in maintenance or planning (e.g., CMRP) are a plus.
- Language: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and high attention to detail in task organization.
