Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Accountant, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance team in a variety of daily accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
- Recording daily journal entries in the financial system.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and supplier/customer account reconciliations.
- Following up on invoices and financial documents to ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial reports.
- Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams.
- Participating in monthly and annual closing processes.
- Adhering to International Accounting Standards and company financial policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Nationality: Must be an Emirati national (UAE citizen) - this is a mandatory requirement for the Emiratisation program.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Experience: Limited or no prior work experience (suitable for fresh graduates).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of financial accounting principles.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work in a team and handle work pressure.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
