Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Legal Specialist will be appointed to the company's Legal Affairs department, where they will be responsible for providing legal support and consultation to ensure all company operations and activities comply with applicable local and international regulations and laws. Core responsibilities will include:
- Contract Review and Drafting: Reviewing, drafting, and analyzing various types of contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners (e.g., service contracts, partnership agreements, supply contracts, NDAs) to safeguard the company's interests and mitigate legal risks.
- Legal Documentation and Compliance: Preparing and reviewing official legal documents, correspondence, and notices. Managing legal cases and disputes (if any) in coordination with external law firms.
- Research and Advisory: Conducting in-depth legal research on new laws and regulations that may impact the company's business in the IT, communications, and digital solutions sectors where Naseej operates. Providing practical advice to various departments on the legal implications of their operational decisions.
- Intellectual Property Protection: Assisting in matters related to the protection of trademarks, copyrights, and other company-owned intellectual property assets.
- Internal Awareness: Contributing to the development and implementation of employee awareness programs regarding policies, procedures, and laws relevant to their work.
- Administrative Follow-up: Maintaining an organized and up-to-date archive of all legal documents and contracts.
Qualifications and Core Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university. A Master's degree in Law or a specialized professional certificate will be a strong added advantage.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in the legal field, preferably within a private corporate environment, especially in technology, telecommunications, or consulting firms. Experience in reputable law firms is also acceptable.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep knowledge and thorough understanding of relevant Saudi business regulations and laws, including corporate law, contract law, and labor law. Knowledge of international regulations (e.g., data protection laws) is a significant plus.
- Personal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to analyze complex problems and present solutions clearly and concisely. Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
