Job Overview

The Commercial Development Manager will hold a strategic position within Nestlé's organizational structure in Saudi Arabia. This individual will be primarily responsible for leading and executing commercial growth initiatives, strategically exploring new market opportunities, fostering partnerships, and contributing to the company's ambitious financial targets. This role operates at the intersection of long-term strategy and operational execution, requiring a deep understanding of the local market and regional dynamics.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead Growth Strategy: Develop and lead commercial development plans that align with Nestlé's overarching vision for the Kingdom and the wider regional market.
  • Explore New Opportunities: Identify and evaluate opportunities for organic and inorganic growth, including entry into new product categories, strategic partnerships, or expansion initiatives across various sales channels.
  • Strategic Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of the market, competitors, and consumers to guide decision-making and identify priority areas for investment and commercial efforts.
  • Strategic Project Management: Lead complex commercial projects from conception through to execution, ensuring alignment with defined timelines, budgets, and objectives.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure the seamless integration of new commercial strategies into company operations.
  • Partnership Development: Seek out, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with key market players to enhance Nestlé's presence and consumer reach.
  • Reporting and Recommendations: Present clear reports and actionable recommendations to senior management based on insights derived from data and market analysis.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or higher qualification will be a strong advantage.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in commercial development, strategy, or strategic project management, with a significant portion within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or related retail sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: A proven track record of successfully leading complex initiatives and guiding cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellence in analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights and action plans.
  • Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of business strategy principles, expansion models, and market dynamics in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
  • Communication Skills: High-level communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) in English and Arabic.
