Job Description

The company is looking for a dedicated HSSE Manager to lead and oversee all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental aspects of their operations in Dubai and the wider region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust HSSE management system that aligns with both global corporate standards and local UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive HSSE strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with all UAE federal and local HSSE laws, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver HSSE training programs for employees, contractors, and management.
• Prepare and present detailed HSSE performance reports, including leading and lagging indicators, to senior management.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution phases.
• Manage environmental aspects, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Certifications: Recognized professional certifications such as NEBOSH (International Diploma or IGC), IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is a strong plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSSE roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. Experience in the airport, construction, or logistics sectors is highly desirable.
• Core Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of international HSSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and local UAE regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and report-writing skills.
