Job Overview

The Manager - Warehouse and Distribution will play a central role in overseeing all logistics operations related to storage, inventory management, and distribution. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and security of warehouse operations, with a strong focus on process optimization, cost reduction, and enhanced customer service. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead the warehouse and distribution team and develop strategic plans to improve internal supply chain efficiency.
• Daily Operations Management: Supervise all activities related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accuracy and speed.
• Inventory Management: Establish and implement effective inventory management policies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize shrinkage or waste.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all warehouse operations comply with local and international safety regulations, and promote a strong safety culture among the workforce.
• Performance Management: Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team and operations, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Budget Management: Contribute to the preparation of the warehouse operational budget and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Sales, and Logistics departments to ensure integrated and seamless operations.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Evaluate the performance of external transport and logistics service providers, ensuring they meet agreed-upon service standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain & Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Manager or Senior Supervisor). Experience in the maritime transport or international logistics sector is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Knowledge of quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams, with excellent communication and delegation skills.
• Analytical Skills: High competency in data analysis, complex problem-solving, and fact-based decision-making.
• Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
