Job Description

The appointed Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of the company's projects. He will be the primary person accountable for ensuring that mechanical works are executed according to the highest standards of quality, safety, and within the specified timeline. Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of work crews and technicians on the project site.
• Planning, organizing, and controlling all mechanical activities related to the project.
• Ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Coordinating work with subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineers (electrical, civil, etc.).
• Monitoring the quality of materials, equipment used, and installation methods.
• Preparing daily and weekly reports on work progress, incidents, non-conformities, and material consumption.
• Identifying training needs for the work team and ensuring their competency.
• Contributing to solving technical problems that may arise during execution phases.
• Reviewing and approving work plans and method statements.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• An advanced technical diploma with extensive and outstanding experience may be considered.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in mechanical supervision within contracting or industrial projects.
• Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia or other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is a significant advantage.
• Strong background in one of the following areas: HVAC systems, plumbing and sanitary systems, or mechanical systems for buildings and facilities.

Personal and Professional Skills:

• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi and international construction and safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in basic computer software (MS Office) and relevant engineering applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Work Environment and Location

The work environment will primarily be on the project site within Saudi Arabia, which may require a high level of commitment and flexibility.
