Job Description and Responsibilities
The selected coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the work interfaces between Building Management Systems (BMS) and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) or related Health Systems (MHS). This position is vital to project success, ensuring all systems work in harmony to achieve operational efficiency, safety, and comfort within the building. Key responsibilities include:
- Interface Coordination: Acting as the primary liaison between BMS contractors, MEP contractors, the project management team, and other stakeholders.
- Design and Document Review: Reviewing design documents, shop drawings, data schedules, and installation plans for BMS and MHS systems to ensure compatibility and compliance with requirements.
- Meeting Management and Communication: Chairing and conducting interface coordination meetings, documenting Minutes of Meetings (MOM), and tracking open action items to ensure timely closure.

Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field).
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) or MEP systems, with a strong focus on interface coordination on major construction projects (e.g., high-rise towers, hospitals, hotels, or large commercial complexes).
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of BMS system principles (e.g., Delta Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric) and their interaction with mechanical (HVAC) and electrical systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English. Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. Capability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Project Management Skills: Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project) and Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit) is a distinct advantage.
- Location: Applicants must be currently residing in the UAE with a valid residence permit, or be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
