  • Participating in the planning and design of surface or underground mining operations, adhering to the highest safety and efficiency standards.

  • Ensuring full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and Omani/international environmental standards at all project stages.
  • Coordinating with other departments such as Geology, Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics to achieve project goals.
  • Supervising technicians and laborers, providing necessary technical guidance.
  • Contributing to feasibility studies and long-term planning for mine site development.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Proven hands-on experience in the mining engineering field. (The specific number of years required will be determined by the company during the evaluation process).
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of mining-specific design and analysis software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, Vulcan, or similar). A strong understanding of geology principles, rock mechanics, and blasting techniques.
  • Personal Skills: Leadership ability and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and in diverse environments.
  • Professional Certifications: International professional certifications in safety or project management (e.g., NEBOSH, PMP) are a strong added advantage.
  • Commitment: Full commitment to safety standards and environmental regulations is a non-negotiable requirement.
