Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The People & Culture Manager will hold a strategic position within the hotel's or hotel group's organizational structure in Saudi Arabia. Their core responsibilities will center on leading all human resources functions to ensure the attraction, retention, and development of top talent. Key duties include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement local People & Culture strategies aligned with Mövenpick's global and regional business objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to meet the property's staffing needs, from requisition to interviewing, offer management, and onboarding, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Learning & Development: Design and execute effective training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and ensure service delivery meets Mövenpick's global standards.
  • Performance Management: Lead the performance management cycle, including goal setting, appraisals, and constructive feedback, to drive productivity and individual growth.
  • Employee Relations & Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture that prioritizes employee well-being and engagement. Handle employee relations matters effectively and maintain excellent labor relations.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee compensation and benefits structures, ensuring compliance with all Saudi Arabian labor laws and regulations.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to the hotel's management team, providing counsel on all workforce and organizational development matters.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role within an international environment like Mövenpick, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a significant advantage.
  • Work Experience: Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in the Human Resources field, with a substantial portion in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Experience within the hotel and hospitality industry is a crucial advantage.
  • Local Knowledge: A deep understanding of Saudi Arabian labor laws and relevant regulatory practices is a prerequisite.
