Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Plumbing Foreman will hold a central on-site position, directly responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all plumbing and sanitary system works to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Leadership & Supervision: Leading and directing a team of plumbing laborers and technicians on-site, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring adherence to the project work plan and schedule.
• Planning & Execution: Studying plumbing system engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring team comprehension. Coordinating with project engineers and other subcontractors to ensure workflow harmony.
• Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections to ensure all installation, welding, and connection work is performed according to agreed technical specifications, local regulations (such as Abu Dhabi Municipality specifications), and international standards.
• Safety First: Enforcing and implementing all occupational health and safety protocols on the worksite. Ensuring the team uses personal protective equipment and follows safe procedures in all operations, contributing to a zero-accident work environment.
• Resource Management: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and use of plumbing materials and equipment, minimizing waste, and maintaining inventory.
• Training & Development: Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enhancing their practical skills.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

• Certification & Experience: A diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the plumbing trade, including at least 3 years in a foreman or team leader role on a construction site.
• Local Experience: Proven prior experience working within the United Arab Emirates, with practical knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and specifications, particularly in Abu Dhabi.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of all aspects of domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems, including supply and drainage, firefighting systems, and sewage systems.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify technical problems and devise practical, effective solutions.
• Commitment: Full commitment to quality and safety standards, with the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Language: Proficiency in English for communication with the workforce and management is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be a significant advantage.
