Job Description

The appointed Production Chemist will be integrated into the production operations department, bearing responsibility for a range of critical technical and supervisory tasks to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing Production Processes: Monitoring and executing steps in the chemical manufacturing process in accordance with standard specifications and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Quality Control: Conducting routine chemical tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process intermediates, and final products to verify compliance with required specifications.
• Data Documentation: Accurately recording all operational data, observations, and analytical results in designated logs, and preparing periodic technical reports.
• Maintenance & Safety: Contributing to the maintenance of laboratory and operational equipment, and strictly adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying any deviations or issues in processes or quality and proposing appropriate technical solutions or escalating them to supervisors.
• Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other team branches such as engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to achieve production targets.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• Experience: The company prefers candidates with 1 to 3 years of practical experience in chemical production or quality control within a similar industrial setting. Exceptional fresh graduates may also be considered.
• Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of chemical laboratory techniques, analytical instruments (such as HPLC, GC, Spectrophotometers), and principles of chemical manufacturing processes.
• Personal Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, strong communication skills (verbal and written), and a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
• General Requirements: Proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of both Arabic and English languages is considered a distinct advantage.
