Job Description
A reputable company in Kuwait is seeking a Production Engineer specialized in LV Switchgear to join its manufacturing team. The engineer will oversee the production, assembly, and testing of low voltage electrical distribution panels, ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the LV switchgear production line (MCCBs, ACBs, Distribution Panels).
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC 61439.
- Manage a team of technicians and workers to meet production targets.
- Review electrical single line diagrams and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory departments for material availability.
- Conduct final quality tests on panels before dispatch.
- Analyze production issues and propose solutions for efficiency improvement and waste reduction.
- Prepare daily and weekly production reports.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years in LV switchgear manufacturing.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61439 and NEMA standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software.
- Deep understanding of switchgear components (circuit breakers, contactors, relays).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and panel layouts.
- Soft Skills:
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Excellent communication skills.
