Job Overview

The Production Manager will be the primary leader responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all activities related to the site's manufacturing and production operations. This role is central to achieving production targets in volume, quality, cost, and timeliness, while ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead Production Operations: Directly oversee daily manufacturing processes to ensure planned production targets are met efficiently and effectively.
• Resource Management: Optimize the planning and utilization of resources including manpower, raw materials, and equipment to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control systems across all production stages to guarantee final products meet required specifications and standards.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Champion a strong safety culture in the workplace, ensure compliance with all local and international regulations, and work to minimize the environmental impact of operations.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, provide guidance and support, conduct performance reviews, and participate in hiring and training processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, propose and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
• Planning & Budgeting: Contribute to the preparation of operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with other departments such as Maintenance, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality Control to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field) from an accredited university. An MBA or Master's in Engineering Management is a strong advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a progressive track record in leadership roles. This must include at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of manufacturing principles, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices. Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large and diverse teams to achieve common goals.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Language: Proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
