Job Description
Superiority of Modern Services LLC (SOMS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer (Electrical) to join their team in Sohar, Oman. This is a full-time position based in the industrial hub of Sohar, offering an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee complex electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of electrical projects, from initial design and planning through to execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and deadlines are adhered to.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and engineering challenges that arise during project implementation.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on all project sites.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical project management, preferably within industrial, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong technical knowledge of low and medium voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, motors, and control systems.
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly desirable.
