Registered Nurse - Trauma Services Job Opportunity

Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the emergency and trauma services team, entrusted with critical responsibilities in delivering urgent and specialized nursing care. Core duties include:
- Providing immediate and specialized nursing care to patients with various traumatic injuries in an emergency department or trauma intensive care unit setting.
- Participating in the initial reception and rapid assessment (triage) of patients according to established trauma protocols.
- Assisting with urgent medical procedures and resuscitation efforts under the supervision of the medical team.
- Closely monitoring patients' vital signs, accurately documenting changes, and promptly reporting to the attending physician.
- Administering medications and intravenous therapies as per physician orders and institutional protocols.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, anesthetists, emergency technicians, radiology, and laboratory departments to deliver integrated care.
- Ensuring strict adherence to infection control procedures and patient safety guidelines.
- Maintaining trauma department medical equipment and ensuring its readiness for use at all times.
- Providing essential psychological and emotional support to patients and their families during crises.
- Participating in continuous training and quality improvement programs within the department.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this distinguished role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a recognized nursing diploma.
- Licensure: A valid nursing license and professional registration from the country of qualification, with the ability to obtain a practice license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in emergency nursing, intensive care, or trauma services. Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly preferred.
- Professional Certifications: Possession of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications is a significant competitive advantage.
- Personal Skills: The ability to work under pressure and make rapid decisions in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and colleagues. A strong team spirit and the capacity to handle emotionally challenging situations.
- General Requirements: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Basic knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
