ARC ENGINEERING L.L.C is currently seeking experienced and skilled Riggers to join their operations team in Umm Al Qaiwain, United Arab Emirates. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Rigger will be an integral part of the field operations team, entrusted with critical and safety-sensitive duties, including:

• Directly supervising and executing the lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and large structures across engineering and industrial project sites.
• Inspecting, selecting, and preparing all necessary lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, wire ropes, slings, shackles, and hooks to ensure they are fit for purpose and in safe working condition prior to any lift.
• Correctly attaching and securing loads using appropriate rigging techniques to prevent slippage or imbalance during movement.
• Providing clear and precise hand or radio signals to crane operators to guide the safe movement of loads.
• Strictly adhering to all local and international Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols and procedures.
• Conducting routine pre-use inspections on all rigging gear and immediately reporting any defects or damage.
• Collaborating effectively with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure work plans are executed as designed.
• Contributing to maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized work area.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Proven practical experience of 3 to 5 years as a Rigger in an industrial, construction, or engineering environment.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of various types of lifting equipment, rigging methods, and safety procedures.
• Possession of relevant, certified training and qualifications in rigging and lifting (e.g., a certified Rigger ticket from a recognized body) is a significant advantage.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform duties in an outdoor site environment, which may involve working at heights or in varying weather conditions.
• Good understanding of technical instructions and basic engineering drawings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Unwavering commitment to a safety-first culture and workplace discipline.
• Proficiency in English for basic workplace communication (Arabic language skills are an additional advantage).
