Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assume a critical role in strengthening the cybersecurity governance framework and safeguarding the vital information assets of the company and its clients. Core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and Implementing GRC Framework: Designing, leading the implementation, and continuously improving an integrated cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance framework aligned with global best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and relevant local regulations and standards.
• Cybersecurity Risk Management: Conducting periodic and comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, developing effective treatment plans, and monitoring their implementation.
• Compliance Assurance: Monitoring and ensuring the company's compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards related to cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Contributing to the development, review, and update of cybersecurity policies, controls, and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and relevance in light of technological advancements and emerging threats.
• Internal Audit and Review: Planning and conducting internal audits and reviews of cybersecurity systems and controls, and preparing relevant reports for senior management.
• Awareness and Training: Contributing to cybersecurity awareness programs and training employees on secure practices.
• Incident Response: Participating in the cyber incident response team and providing support in investigation, analysis, and lessons learned phases.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Security, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent. Advanced or specialized degrees are a plus.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the information security field, with a strong focus on Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Experience in a high-tech environment or technology startup is preferred.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of globally recognized professional certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), knowledge of risk management systems, and security auditing tools.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and investigative skills, effective communication skills (verbal and written) with all management levels, high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
