Sales Manager - HORECA Sector (Muscat, Oman)

A leading and distinguished company in the market is seeking to hire a professional Sales Manager specialized in the Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes (HORECA) sector to join its dynamic team in Muscat, Oman. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will hold the leadership position responsible for directing and guiding all sales activities within the target sector. Their primary focus will be on developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve financial targets and increase the company's market share. Key duties will include:

  • Leadership & Development: Leading, guiding, and mentoring the field sales team, developing their skills through continuous training and supervision to ensure peak performance levels.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulating comprehensive and detailed sales plans and strategies for the HORECA sector in the Muscat region, aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Business Development: Prospecting for new business opportunities, expanding the existing client base, and building long-term strategic relationships with key accounts in the hotel, restaurant, and cafe industry.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintaining a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication, deep understanding of their needs, and providing tailored solutions that add value to their operations.
  • Market Analysis: Conducting ongoing market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Meticulously monitoring sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and preparing detailed periodic reports for senior management on achievements, forecasts, and recommendations.
  • Participation in Events: Representing the company at relevant trade exhibitions and industry events to enhance brand visibility and generate new networking opportunities.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be successful in this leadership role, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in sales, with a strong focus and a successful track record in the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants, cafes, and similar establishments). Experience in the Omani or GCC market is a significant advantage.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve ambitious targets. Must possess superior communication and conflict management skills.
  • Negotiation & Commercial Skills: Deep understanding of B2B sales dynamics and excellent negotiation skills to close large, profitable deals.
  • Sector Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of supply chains, procurement processes, and decision-making structures within HORECA institutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and market performance to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A higher degree or specialized sales/leadership training certifications are a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: A leader with a mature personality, capable of working under pressure, possessing initiative and a results-driven mindset. Integrity and reliability are fundamental required traits.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Arabic language skills are a strong additional advantage.
