Job Description

The Senior Accountant at Standard Auditing will be entrusted with a range of core duties and key responsibilities, including:

• Preparing and analyzing periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual), ensuring their accuracy and compliance with local and international standards.
• Overseeing period-end closing procedures and preparing reconciliation schedules.
• Managing internal audit processes and assisting with external audits in coordination with the audit team.
• Monitoring and implementing internal financial control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Analyzing costs and expenses and providing analytical reports to management for sound financial decision-making.
• Supervising the work of junior accountants or the accounting team, providing necessary guidance and technical support.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations in the UAE.
• Utilizing advanced accounting and financial software systems (e.g., ERP) with high proficiency.
• Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and comparing them with actual results.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a significant competitive advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical experience in accounting or auditing, with preference given to experience in audit firms or similar environments.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Strong familiarity with UAE tax laws.
• Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, with hands-on experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Oracle or SAP.
• Personal Skills: High analytical ability, attention to detail, and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure and meet challenges. Leadership skills and the ability to work within a team.
