Senior Application Support Officer - Manama, Bahrain

Client of Exceed IT Services is seeking a Senior Application Support Officer to join their team in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals with strong experience in application support and technical problem-solving.

About the Job

As a Senior Application Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for enterprise applications, ensuring business continuity, and resolving technical issues efficiently. You will work within a dynamic technical team in a professional and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide second and third-level technical support for enterprise applications
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to applications
  • Manage support requests and ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Document technical procedures and solutions
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance
  • Train users on effective application usage
  • Participate in testing of application updates and new releases

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL)
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Preferred Skills

  • Professional IT certifications (ITIL, CompTIA, etc.)
  • Experience in banking or financial environments
  • Knowledge of service management tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
