Job Description

The Senior Sustainability Consultant will play a pivotal role in supporting and guiding clients from both the public and private sectors towards adopting global best practices and standards in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Develop & Implement Sustainability Strategies: Lead the design and development of comprehensive sustainability strategies and roadmaps aligned with client business objectives.
• Provide Specialized Advisory: Offer technical advice to clients on global sustainability standards (such as LEED, BREEAM, ESTIDAMA), energy efficiency, circular economy, and carbon reduction.
• Performance Management & Reporting: Develop frameworks to measure and assess sustainability performance for projects and operations, preparing relevant periodic reports.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex sustainability concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Supervise and guide project teams, provide technical direction, and contribute to the firm's internal knowledge development in sustainability.
• Compliance: Ensure projects and strategies comply with all relevant Saudi and international environmental and sustainability regulations and requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

Turner & Townsend is looking for highly experienced professionals with thought leadership in the sustainability field.

Essential Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field in Environmental Sciences or Sustainability. A Master's degree in Sustainability or Business Administration is a strong advantage.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in sustainability consulting, with a significant portion gained in the Middle East, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Deep, certified knowledge of global sustainability assessment systems (e.g., LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working on major infrastructure projects, smart cities, or large-scale real estate developments.
• Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and related financial disclosure requirements.
• Excellent analytical and consultative skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic (essential).
