Job Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop detailed project plans and comprehensive schedules using specialized planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and analyze variances from baseline plans.
• Prepare regular (weekly, monthly) performance reports for management and client review.
• Coordinate and integrate plans from all stakeholders (contractors, consultants, suppliers) to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
• Analyze the potential impact of scope changes on project timeline and cost.
• Provide technical support during the tendering phase by preparing preliminary schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all contract requirements related to planning and reporting.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and engineering team to achieve project objectives.
• Maintain an accurate database of planning records and documents.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

• MMUP (Municipal Ministry of Urban Planning) Grade A Certification: This is a mandatory and non-negotiable requirement for this position.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related field) from an accredited university.
• Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in project planning and management, with a strong focus on major construction projects in the GCC region. Prior experience in Qatar is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in project planning software, especially Oracle Primavera P6. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is also preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project management principles (PMI), construction methodologies, and contract procedures.
