Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Cybersecurity & Network Engineer will be responsible for a core set of duties encompassing the design, implementation, and monitoring of security systems and network architectures. The expected responsibilities for this role include:

• Design and Implement Cybersecurity Strategies: Develop comprehensive security plans and solutions to protect company systems and data from evolving cyber threats.
• Manage and Secure Network Infrastructure: Oversee the operation and maintenance of network devices (such as routers, switches, firewalls) and ensure their optimal performance and security.
• Continuous Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor network activity to detect intrusions or suspicious behavior, conduct necessary investigations, and respond promptly to any security incidents.
• Conduct Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing: Perform regular tests to evaluate weaknesses in systems and networks, and develop remediation plans to address them.
• Develop and Enforce Security Policies and Procedures: Formulate and update information security policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and international standards.
• Provide Technical Support and Consultation: Act as an internal expert consultant to the IT team and management on all matters related to cybersecurity and networking.
• Training and Awareness: Contribute to employee awareness programs on cybersecurity fundamentals and potential risks.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be an ideal candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in information security and network engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex technical environments.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of globally recognized certifications is highly preferred:
  • In Cybersecurity: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+.
  • In Networking: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
  • Strong expertise in network protocols and routing (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Proficiency in security technologies like Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  • Understanding of Cloud architecture and security concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
