Job Overview

Sales Engineers serve as the vital link between a company's complex technical solutions and customer needs. Key Expected Responsibilities

Based on the nature of the two positions, shared and specialized responsibilities include:

  • Technical Sales Support: Providing specialized technical support throughout the entire sales cycle, from product introduction to post-sale stages.
  • Preparation and Delivery of Presentations: Developing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations (demos) that address specific client needs and highlight product value.
  • Addressing Technical Inquiries: Handling complex customer inquiries and preparing technical responses and proposals.
  • Training and Awareness: Training the sales team and customers on technical features and optimal product applications.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Working closely with engineering and development teams to relay market feedback and contribute to product improvement.

For the Senior Sales Engineer role, additional leadership responsibilities are expected, such as mentoring other sales engineers, handling key strategic accounts, and contributing to technical sales strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

Core Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related field) from an accredited university.
  2. Proven work experience in technical sales or applications engineering.
  3. Deep understanding of engineering principles and the ability to explain them to non-technical audiences.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
  5. Ability to travel within the Kingdom as required by the job.

Required Experience:

  • For Sales Engineer: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role (Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Technical Sales Support).
  • For Senior Sales Engineer: Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in technical sales, with experience in leadership or managing key accounts.

Preferred Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven mindset.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
