Job Description
The Senior Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex business needs and effective technological solutions. This individual will be the primary responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing systems and processes to support the strategic objectives of the Digital Hub and QIC at large.
Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Requirements Analysis: Working closely with stakeholders from various departments (business, product, technology) to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for new or enhanced systems.
- Solution Design: Translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and prototypes. Designing process flows, data models, and system interfaces to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed solution.
- Project Coordination & Management: Coordinating with development teams (programmers, QA engineers) to ensure accurate implementation of requirements. Assisting in project timeline planning, prioritization, and progress tracking.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Contributing to the development of test plans and scenarios. Verifying that developed solutions meet agreed-upon specifications and function correctly before deployment.
- Support & Training: Providing post-implementation technical support and preparing end-user documentation. This may include training end-users on the new system.
- Research & Development: Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in systems analysis and digital insurance (InsurTech), and proposing improvements to existing processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Work Experience: Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in systems analysis or a similar role, preferably within the financial services or insurance sector.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in business analysis and process modeling tools (e.g., UML, BPMN).
- Strong understanding of databases and query languages (SQL).
- Knowledge of system integration concepts and APIs.
- Ability to use requirements management and design tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
- Ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively within a team.
