The analyst will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to resolve a large percentage of requests at the first point of contact.
  • Escalating Complex Issues: When encountering problems that require specialized knowledge or higher access privileges, the analyst will be responsible for escalating the ticket to the appropriate technical teams (e.g., network team, cybersecurity, systems administration) while providing all necessary diagnostic information and steps taken.
  • Follow-up and Communication: Tracking the ticket until its full resolution and proactively communicating with users to inform them of updates regarding their requests. Maintaining user satisfaction and trust is a critical component of this role.
  • Contributing to Knowledge Base: Contributing to the creation and updating of Knowledge Base articles that help users resolve common issues independently, thereby reducing the long-term volume of requests to the service desk.
  • Adherence to Service Standards: Ensuring compliance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding response and resolution times.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role in the competitive UAE job market, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Formal education may be substituted with extensive and proven practical experience.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Service Desk Analyst or Tier 1/Tier 2 Technical Support representative in a corporate environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
    • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
    • Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
    • Experience using help desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, or similar).
    • Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
    • Exceptional customer service orientation and patience when dealing with users of varying technical proficiency.
    • Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team spirit and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
