Job Description
The Solution Architect will occupy a pivotal role within the company's team, responsible for translating client business requirements and strategic objectives into actionable technical blueprints and practical solutions. Solution Architects serve as a critical bridge between client stakeholders and the technical delivery teams.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Analyze complex client needs and design comprehensive technical solution architectures that address these requirements in terms of technical feasibility, cost, and timelines.
- Technical Vision Development: Create and document the vision and detailed architecture for solutions, including the selection of appropriate platforms and technologies (e.g., Cloud, Integration, Databases).
- Guidance & Supervision: Guide development teams and engineers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to the designed architecture and quality standards.
- Risk Management & Evaluation: Identify potential technical risks in proposed designs and develop mitigation plans. Evaluate existing solutions and propose improvements for enhanced efficiency.
- Communication & Presentation: Deliver presentations and clearly explain complex architectural designs to both technical and non-technical audiences (management and clients).
- Innovation & Trend Awareness: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in solution architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this position at Duncan & Ross, you are expected to meet the following criteria:
Educational Background and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven professional experience of at least 5 to 8 years in the IT field, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in a Solution Architect role or a similar architecture design position.
- Previous experience working in a consulting environment or with technology services firms will be a significant advantage.
Technical and Professional Skills:
- Deep knowledge of software engineering principles, standards, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience in designing Cloud-Native solutions and familiarity with one of the major cloud service providers.
- Strong understanding of integration technologies, APIs, and Microservices architecture.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for tackling complex issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Recognized professional certifications in architecture or cloud domains (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF) will be a strong asset.
