Specialist Radiology - Interventional | NMC Healthcare, Abu Dhabi

Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The appointed Interventional Radiology Specialist will be responsible for a critical range of duties, including:
- Performing and interpreting a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures using advanced imaging guidance such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Executing procedures such as therapeutic embolizations, tumor ablations, angioplasty and stenting, hemorrhage control, and image-guided biopsies.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising oncologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and neurologists to plan and implement optimal patient care pathways.
- Preparing accurate medical reports and discussing findings with referring physicians.
- Adhering to the highest standards of patient safety and quality, in compliance with international protocols and local regulatory standards set by the Abu Dhabi Health Department (DoH) or the UAE Ministry of Health (MOH).
- Participating in continuous training and development activities for medical and nursing staff.
- Contributing to the operational efficiency of the Radiology Department.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, followed by a recognized post-graduate specialization degree in Radiology (e.g., Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Fellowship, FRCR, or equivalent) with a sub-specialization or extensive training in Interventional Radiology.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid license to practice as a Specialist in Interventional Radiology from the United Arab Emirates (e.g., from the Ministry of Health & Prevention - MOH or the Department of Health - DoH Abu Dhabi). Candidates with an already active UAE license will be highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven post-specialization experience of at least 3 to 5 years, with a strong focus on interventional radiology practice in a large hospital or specialized medical center setting.
- Skills: Profound expertise in interventional radiology techniques. Excellent communication and patient management skills. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic is a distinct advantage.
- Personal Attributes: High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, teamwork spirit, and a strong professional ethical commitment.
