Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Structural Engineer will be entrusted with a range of vital tasks and responsibilities focused on the design and technical aspects. • Design and Analysis: Preparing and developing detailed structural designs for new projects or for the development and modification of existing structures, utilizing the latest software and international and local standards.

• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring all designs comply with the architectural and structural codes adopted in Oman, and relevant building and safety regulations.
• Coordination with Other Teams: Working closely with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) teams, and contractors to ensure integration and coordination between all project disciplines.
• Proposal Review: Reviewing supplier and contractor proposals and drawings from a structural perspective and providing technical recommendations.
• Site Support: Providing technical support during on-site execution phases and responding to design-related queries.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. A Master's degree in a related field is a distinct advantage.
• Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in structural design, preferably in a consultancy environment or with major contracting companies.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in essential structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, and Revit Structure.
