Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Associate Private Markets will work within a specialized team managing the Authority's investments in the private markets asset class, which typically includes private equity funds, venture capital funds, and direct investments in unlisted companies.   • Assisting in the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities within the private markets sector, both regionally and globally.

  • Supporting the team in the due diligence process on fund managers and partner companies.

  • Assisting in preparing presentations and reports for the investment committee and relevant internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a qualified candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. A postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certifications (such as CFA, CAIA) is a strong advantage.
  • Work Experience: Approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in fields such as investment, investment banking, private equity, asset management, or financial auditing at a reputable firm or financial institution.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial analysis and financial modeling using Microsoft Excel. Solid knowledge of valuation principles and accounting.
  • Soft Skills: High analytical ability with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. The ability to work effectively within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: A good understanding of global and regional financial market environments, particularly the private markets landscape.
