Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The successful consultant will hold a leadership position within the Endocrinology department, bearing responsibility for a range of critical duties including:
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Providing expert consultation, diagnosing, and managing a wide spectrum of endocrine disorders and diseases. This includes diabetes mellitus (type 1 & 2), thyroid and parathyroid diseases, growth and puberty disorders, adrenal gland disorders, and metabolic/hormonal imbalances.
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Managing patient cases from initial diagnosis through developing individualized treatment plans and long-term follow-up, with a focus on achieving optimal health outcomes.
- Teamwork and Leadership: Working closely within a multidisciplinary team comprising other physicians, nurses, dietitians, and technicians. Providing guidance, mentorship, and supervision to resident doctors and medical students as required.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensuring strict compliance with the highest international medical standards and professional ethics, as well as all local healthcare regulations and protocols enforced in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Essential Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Possession of an MBBS or equivalent medical degree, followed by a recognized specialization (Board Certification) in Internal Medicine, and subsequently a fellowship or subspecialty certification in Endocrinology from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: You must hold a valid medical license from your country of origin. Obtaining a license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) will be a mandatory prerequisite for practice.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of post-fellowship practical experience working specifically in Endocrinology. Experience in major academic hospitals or large medical centers is highly preferred.
- Skills: Full proficiency in performing specialized clinical examinations and interpreting relevant laboratory and radiological findings. Exceptional patient management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of the Arabic language is a significant advantage.
