- Cost Control & Cash Flow Management: Oversee all aspects of cost management, monitor expenditures, and ensure effective cash flow management to sustain operations.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with all applicable tax, accounting laws, and regulations in Saudi Arabia, in addition to Marriott's stringent internal policies and standards.
- Internal Controls & Risk Management: Develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard the property's assets. Identify and assess financial risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Management Advisory Support: Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and the executive management team, providing financial advice and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
- Oversight of Accounting Operations: Supervise all daily accounting operations such as accounts payable/receivable, inventory, payroll, and financial statement preparation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA are a significant advantage and often required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a substantial portion in a leadership role (e.g., Finance Manager, Controller) within the hospitality or hotel industry. Experience in a luxury or international hotel environment is a strong competitive advantage.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Oracle or SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting practices.
