Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all technical and operational aspects of electrical works on the project site. Key duties include:

• Field Supervision: Directly lead and supervise teams of electrical technicians and subcontractors on-site to ensure work is executed according to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Planning & Scheduling: Contribute to planning the schedule for electrical activities, allocate human resources and equipment, and ensure adherence to the overall project timeline.
• Quality Control: Ensure all electrical installations and works comply with the design specifications, locally approved electrical codes (e.g., Oman codes), and international safety standards.
• Safety First: Enforce and implement stringent safety protocols on the work site, conduct regular inspections, and ensure all team members follow safe work procedures.
• Coordination: Work closely with project managers, other engineers (civil, mechanical), and planning/procurement departments to ensure seamless integration between disciplines.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical faults and issues that may arise during installation, commissioning, or maintenance phases.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress, equipment status, and any safety incidents or non-conformances, and submit them to direct management.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent higher technical diploma with relevant experience.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical installations and supervision, with a strong preference for experience in industrial projects (e.g., power plants, factories, petrochemical facilities) or major commercial projects (shopping malls, office towers).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of power systems, control systems, lighting, and fire/lightning protection systems. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and shop drawings.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, guide, and motivate a team in a multicultural work environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or any recognized training certificates in electrical supervision is highly preferred.
• Location: Candidates must be currently located in Oman or ready for immediate relocation. Prior experience in the Omani job market is advantageous.
