Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Site Engineer will be directly responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations, ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and project timelines. The core responsibilities include:

• Technical Supervision: Oversee all phases of construction and fit-out works on-site, ensuring compliance with approved technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Site Management: Plan and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and labor, distribute daily tasks, and monitor work progress against the project schedule.
• Quality & Safety Control: Implement quality control programs, conduct regular inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet specifications. Also responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing all applicable UAE safety regulations and procedures.
• Coordination & Communication: Act as a key liaison between the company's management (project office) and the site workforce, as well as with consultants and suppliers when required. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Documentation Management: Review and update engineering drawings, follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs), and document site meeting minutes and variations.
• Cost & Material Control: Assist in monitoring material consumption, minimizing waste, and ensuring the timely availability of materials and equipment to maintain an uninterrupted workflow.
• Problem-Solving: Identify technical challenges or conflicts that arise on-site and work towards finding practical and timely solutions in collaboration with the team.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in supervising construction and/or interior fit-out project sites within the United Arab Emirates or the wider Gulf region.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction phases, fit-out specifications, building materials, and local building regulations in Dubai (familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations is a significant advantage).
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, with the capacity to motivate a team and work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in core computer software (MS Office). Good working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design software (AutoCAD) is considered a key advantage.
• Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
• Eligibility: The applicant must possess a valid UAE residence permit and a valid driver's license.
