Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks focused on ensuring the efficiency, safety, and performance of tank systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and Execution: Developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance plans for various types of tanks.
• Inspection and Assessment: Conducting regular periodic inspections of tanks to assess their condition, identifying signs of corrosion, damage, or any structural issues.
• Fault Diagnosis: Analyzing technical failures and identifying root causes of problems in tank systems and associated fittings.
• Supervision of Execution: Directly supervising maintenance teams and technicians during repair or major maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with the highest quality and safety standards.
• Document Management: Preparing detailed technical reports on tank conditions, maintenance work performed, and future recommendations. This also includes updating maintenance records.
• Compliance with Standards: Ensuring all maintenance and repair operations comply with applicable local and international standards, as well as safety and environmental regulations in Kuwait.
• Procurement Management: Assisting in identifying required spare parts and equipment, and coordinating with the procurement department to secure them.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in tank maintenance, preferably in the industrial, oil, chemical, or utilities sector.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of tank construction materials, corrosion processes, and cathodic protection methods.
  • Understanding of internal and external tank cleaning systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant global maintenance standards (e.g., API, ASME).
• Personal Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
