Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Civil Engineer (TPE III) will be based at a Wood project site or design office in Saudi Arabia, responsible for a range of critical engineering and technical tasks. The core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Contributing to the development and design of civil and structural elements for major projects within sectors such as oil & gas, energy, and infrastructure.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications in compliance with international standards and best practices.
  • Providing technical support across various project phases, from conceptual design through to execution and delivery.
  • Working closely within a multidisciplinary team, including engineers from other disciplines, designers, and project managers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable company, project, and statutory quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards.
  • Assisting in resolving technical issues that may arise during the design or construction phases.
  • Preparing technical reports and maintaining accurate documentation of design work.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

To be eligible for this distinguished career opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. A Master's degree or advanced professional certifications will be considered a distinct advantage.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, with a significant portion preferably gained on oil & gas, energy, or major industrial projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of relevant engineering design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit). In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Saudi Building Codes).
  • Personal Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is a beneficial asset.
