Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Manager will hold a pivotal role within the farm's administrative structure, serving as the primary officer responsible for all financial and accounting aspects of the operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive Financial Management: Overseeing all daily, monthly, and annual accounting activities for the farm.
• Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Budget Management: Assisting in the preparation of operational and capital budgets, and monitoring financial performance against set targets.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Managing invoices, receivables, and payments to suppliers and customers, ensuring smooth collection and payment processes.

• Costing & Inventory: Monitoring agricultural production costs and managing inventory accounting (seeds, supplies, finished products).

• Tax and Legal Compliance: Ensuring all financial transactions comply with local laws and regulations in the Sultanate of Oman.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a preference for experience in the agriculture, food production, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sectors. Experience in a startup or SME environment will be highly regarded.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and accuracy, integrity, and reliability. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
